In the beginning of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, C.C. appeared to be commanding the Black Knights. They initiated an operation to unlock Zero’s memory that was sealed away by the Emperor of Britannia. Although the Intelligence Agency followed Lelouch in anticipation of this exact scenario, C.C. successfully restored his memories with a kiss. She then took up her old position after Lelouch’s recovery.

When Lelouch Lamperouge formed the Order of the Black Knights, he took up the identity of Zero to lead them. Zero became a revolutionary and quickly gained popularity amongst the people who were against the Empire.

However, when Euphemia li Britannia the region under Mount Fuji the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, it effectively destroyed any possibility of the Black Knight’s rebellion. Acceptance would render them powerless and refusal would make them pariahs.

So what did Lelouch do? I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen the anime yet, but it was really a fascinating turn of events. Thanks to Ulysses for sending this in!

On the 4th of December 2011, Nico Nico, in cooperation with Japan’s largest cosplay community website “Cure”, came together to introduce the world to Japanese Cosplay Culture.

Niconico’s special stage replicated each cosplayer’s world in detail using 360 degree LED screens accompanied by powerful sound systems! Top cosplayers from popular anime series including Tiger and Bunny, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Final Fantasy, Touhou Project, and even Vocaloid made their appearances on stage!

If you missed the event like I did, you can download the show through torrent. If you’re a cosplay fan, this is a rare chance for you to see your favorite cosplayers moving and without photoshop! Even Kipi made a special appearance dressed as Hatsune Miku!

Lelouch Lamperouge possesses very strong philosophical beliefs that define his actions and motivations. He is against his father’s beliefs of social Darwinism, a term used for various late nineteenth century ideologies predicted on the idea of survival of the fittest. He believes that the world can live in cooperation rather than competition and conflict.

Lelouch Lamperouge may be outstanding when it comes to intellect, but he proved to be physically underwhelming throughout the series. He is constantly outpaced by his classmates in every situation, and even the simplest of tasks requiring manual labor exhaust him before he manages to complete anything significant. He does, however, display above average hand-eye coordination, both with firearms and the keyboard-based control system of the Shinkiro.

The cosplayer’s eyes are really captivating in this photo. Even his/her pose is very much in character, but I wish we could see the cosplayer’s face. Thanks again to Müberra for sending this in!

Lelouch Lamperouge's half-sister and the Third Princess of the Holy Britannia Empire, Euphemia li Britannia is a kindhearted and open-minded woman who despises conflict of any form. She joins her older sister, Conelia, in governing Area 11, thus becoming the Sub-Viceroy. She develops a relationship with Kururugi Suzaku as they share the same views, and eventually appoints him as her personal knight.

Even without the power of his Geass, Lelouch proves to be a formidable opponent. He is highly intelligent, possessing a genius-level intellect, and is capable of devising and executing strategies with incredible speed and precision. At one point, Rollo notes that operating the Absolute Defense Field of the Shinkiro requires complex calculations which he cannot perform, while Lelouch almost makes it look easy. He is also very charismatic and persuasive.

A highly skilled Knightmare Frame pilot, rivaling the abilities of the Knights of the Round, Kallen is acknowledged as the best pilot of the Black Knights by enemies and allies alike. Her codename, “Q-1”. is the Queen’s starting point in descriptive chess notation. By Lelouch’s assessment of the core members of the Black Knights, her “Combat Ability” is 100, matching Todo Kyoshiro’s score, and her “Loyalty” is also the highest possible score of 100.

Many of you have probably already heard the news, but I didn’t want to post this until I confirmed it myself… Sadly, it appears the rumor regarding Miss Saya’s untimely death appears to be true.

According to her little sister, Miss Saya (沙谷) passed away at 5:27 am on the 15th of March due to an accident. There are no further details as of yet, and there isn’t much we can do at this point because we don’t even know what Miss Saya’s real name is.

In her official blog, however, Miss Saya did confirm that she was not affected by the recent earthquake, not the tsunami that is devastating Japan up until now. Her facebook fanpage has also confirmed that her death was not caused by suicide, nor is the news any sort of sick April Fool’s joke; as there have been rumors that Saya was retiring from cosplaying.

For me, I am a huge fan of Miss Saya’s. And as a tribute to her, I would like to ask my readers to help me find some of her cosplay photos that I have yet to feature on Cosplay Holic for the entire month of April (You can contribute by sending me an email via kurohiko at gmail dot com). Although I can’t feature her every single day, I would like to do as much as I can to show that we, her fans, will never forget her.

Often called "Pizza Girl" by Lelouch and Kallen, C.C. has a strong penchant for pizza, especially Pizza Hut’s, who sponsored the show in Japan. She constantly orders pizzas to Lelouch’s house using his credit card to pay for it. She also carries around a stuff toy of “Cheese-kun”, the company’s mascot in Japan.
