Cosplay Holic

Like Sephiroth before him, Kadaj’s trip into the Lifestream does not actually kill him. He eventually revived himself along with two more Remnants of Sephiroth, Loz and Yazoo, inside the Northern Cave Crater as the Turks were collecting Jenova's head. The three of them effortlessly defeated the Turks before deciding to locate Jenova's head, that of which the Turks had somehow managed to escape with.

Another awesome cosplay by Saya! Every time I see her cosplay photos, it makes me sad that we will never be able to see new ones from her anymore. Thanks again to Sheila for sending this in!

Outside of the Final Fantasy series, Tifa has appeared in many other games, including Ehrgeiz as an unlockable character and an optional boss. In Kingdom Hearts II, she appears in her Advent Children attire, searching for Cloud while fighting various Heartless along the way. In LittleBigPlanet 2, Tifa is featured as a downloadable character model. She has also appeared in the electronic board games Itadaki Street Special and Itadaki Street Portable.

Another stunning Tifa! And she looks Caucasian to me, which is a nice change. Thanks to Nell for sending this in!

I've featured Kaname in his Cloud cosplay twice in Cosplay Holic already, but never have I featured him in a video… reading doujinshi?!

Messing around at Anime Expo 2009, Kaname reading doujinshi for a bunch of people.

I guess now people can’t deny that Cloud Kaname is real!

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for all your patience and support for Cosplay Holic. I sincerely hope this will be another year of amazing cosplays and cosplayers!

Tifa first found out about Cloud's Geostigma when she took Marlene to Aerith's church. Loz went to the church hoping to find Jenova’s head, but unfortunately found Tifa and Marlene instead. Tifa fought against Loz, but eventually lost to his superhuman speed and pile bunker.

Another beautiful Tifa! Next to the Vocaloids, a lot of people love to cosplay her, don’t they? Thanks to Colin for sending this in!

When Final Fantasy VII Advent Children was being developed, director Takeshi Nozue had some difficulty in developing a framework for Tifa’s body that needed to be “balanced, yet showed off her feminine qualities”. Her outfit was also redesigned to emphasize on expressing those qualities while being pleasing to the eye. Lastly, Tifa’s hairstyle was cut short due to the difficulty of animating her dolphin tail tipped hair, as well as problems that arose due to its black color and lighting.

Unwound Ribbon is our 9th Tifa cosplayer who wore her costume in this year’s Anime Expo. She has several action shots available on her deviant art as well, so please take some time to visit her gallery! Thanks again for allowing me to post this!

Tifa Lockhart has made several appearances in other media, including her own novella “Smile: Case of Tifa”. The story is set in her point of view, telling the events between the end of Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children. In the short novel, she creates a new 7th Heaven bar and attempts to hold onto the concept of a normal family with herself and Cloud Strife as he begins isolating himself from others.

Very pretty cosplayer! The setting actually looks good too! Thanks to again Tamia for sending this in!

Two years after Cloud Strife was able to defeat Sephiroth, Cloud lived with Tifa Lockhart in a city called Edge where they have been taking care of Barret Wallace’s daughter, Marlene, and an orphan named Denzel. A strange new disease called “Geostigma” threatened the lives of many citizens, including Cloud. He then journeys to meet the Turks, a group that performs operations with the megacorporation Shinra. It was later revealed that Jenova, the extraterrestrial life form whose cells were injected into Sephiroth, was connected to the cause of the Geostigma.

Impressive cosplay by You Mi as Tifa and her friend, Jasmine! This somehow reminds me of a scene from Dead Fantasy, but I think I’d rather add this to Advent Children. Thanks to You Mi for sending this!

“I know, sweetie… I miss him too.”

I apologize for the lack of updates as of late. There is some personal family matter that's taking up a lot of my time and energy. It will be sporadic updates for the next week while I get some stuff together, but for now, I hope you guys enjoy *vanaseph's Tifa cosplay! Thanks to Marybeth for sending this!
