Coyote Starrk is the Primera Espada, signified by the “1” tattooed on the back of his left hand. Starrk and Lilynette came into being as the result of a Hollow splitting its soul in two out of loneliness. This was brought on by the fact that its vast spiritual pressure was too deadly for those who got too close, even towards other Hollows it tried to befriend. Starrk apparently does not remember which of them resembled the original Hollow.

It’s pretty awesome to see the two of them together. I liked Starrk’s laidback attitude in the beginning of the anime. Thanks to Mae for sending this in!

Created by Mihara Ichiro to be Hibiya's daughters, Freya and Elda lived happily with the couple until Freya fell in love with her own father and creator. Freya knew that Ichiro loved Hibiya dearly, so she suppressed her feelings until she could no longer move. At the point where she decided to self-terminate, Elda offered to take Freya’s heart into her own so that she would not disappear completely.

Seven years before the story of Kanon begins, Tsukimiya Ayu fell from a tree on Aizawa Yuichi’s last day in town. He initially thought that she passed away, but Minase Akiko revealed that Ayu was alive and had been in a coma for the last seven years. Yuichi had been meeting an astral projection of Ayu without either of them knowing so.

Beautiful cosplay photography by Hexlord! I really loved this anime, although I wasn’t able to finish the 2nd season. Perhaps it’s time I watch this series again; I miss hearing Ayu’s “ugu”!
