vocaloid cosplay - meiko 5胸を合わせ さぁ踊ろう
Now let's dance, our hearts connected
恋が生まれる lala
That's how love is born, lala
息を合わせ 手を重ねて
Let's match our breaths and join our hands
愛を語ろう
And tell of our love

瞳合わせ さぁ踊ろう
Now let's dance, our eyes connected
夢が生まれる ahah
That's how dreams are born, ahah
声を合わせ さぁ今こそ
We'll unite our voices, yes now is the time
歌が生まれる
That's how a song is born

We have a new layout but no new banner! How can this be?!

Well, the dark layout was straining my eyes, so this is the new, temporary layout that I wanted to try and work with. Why? Because now you can anonymously react to each and every post! Let’s face it, not everyone likes the same things, and opinions are especially diverse with cosplays! You either love it, like it, or hate it! Now you can post your reaction with a click of a mouse at the bottom of each feature in Cosplay Holic, and no one would be the wiser! You can even go back to your favorite cosplays, no matter how old the post may be, and show your support!

Have fun clicking! And thanks again to Billy for sending me this wonderful cosplay of Meiko!

Vocaloid: Meiko 04

Because Kipi has a lot of fans, this also means that there will be a lot of people who think she's “just another photoshop princess”. Even though I already posted a video of her before, here is another one made by amateur cameraman, Elpheal.

Yes, this really is her! Taken at the Singapore Toys Games & Comics convention 2011 !!!
She's really tiny, skinny , beautiful and FRIENDLY! Down to earth and all

Merry Christmas to one and all! We hope that all your dreams come true~!

Vocaloid: Akaito

vocaloid cosplay - akaito by zaki

The younger "twin" brother of Kaito, Akaito's name comes from the word "Aka" which is Japanese for the color red, and Kaito. He originated from a certain Vocaloid cover that features two Kaito’s, the original in blue and another in red. Akaito sings in lower octaves, and his signature item is the Habanero Pepper.

Another fantastic cosplay by Zaki! The pepper doesn’t look to happy about getting eaten though. Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this in!

Vocaloid: Kaito 05

vocaloid cosplay - kaito 5 by reikaOn his first release, Kaito was deemed a failure as he had only sold 500 packages in the initial distribution. However, on the 16th of September 2007, Tatsunami uploaded a parody of the song in Higurashi no naku koro ni, “A Request from Hatsune” onto NicoNicoDouga at the height of Miku’s popularity. The video began with the words “please sometimes recall [KAITO],” as well as Miku asking “where are you and what are you doing now?” from the song Dear You.

It so happened that Ice-P was producing the cover “The Ice Cream Song” sung by Saeko Shee in 1960. Four hours later, the song was uploaded as a response to Miku, with Kaito saying “yes? I was eating an ice cream,” and “Miku, let's eat it together next time.”

The rediscovery led to Kaito’s success, winning the second best seller of the year in Nico nico Market 2008.

Poor Kaito! At least now he has awesome cosplays to go with his success! Awesome cosplay by Reika 麗華 (れいか)!

Vocaloid 2: Megurine Luka, Kaito, and Hatsune Miku

It appears that Kaito has his hands full- Ahem.

With the current surge of Vocaloid cosplayers, I beginning to find it hard to write anything more about them; especially Miku. So can anyone tell me which song this could cosplay could be from instead? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks to Desidia for suggesting this!

Vocaloid: Yowane Haku

vocaloid cosplay - yowane hakuYowane Haku is one of the Vocaloid derivatives that became officially recognized by Crypton Future Media. She originally represented Hatsune Miku songs that sound terrible. Haku became popular and her creator, Caffein later established other characters following the same procedure.

I didn’t know Vocaloids had negative sides too! Thanks to Yukino for suggesting this!

Vocaloid: Meiko 03

vocaloid cosplay - meiko 03 by airaOn the 24th of July 2003, a CCCD album “History of Logic System” was commercially released and it included a song using Japanese Vocaloids for the first time. The duet song of "Ano Subarashii Ai wo Mou Ichido (That Wonderful Love Once More)" was covered by a prototype of Meiko and Kaito before their release.

Cosplayer Aira makes an incredible Meiko! You can hear the official YouTube broadcast for the song mentioned above here. Thanks to Visa for sending this!
