In the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”, Jack Sparrow, Captain Barbossa, and seven other pirate lords were summoned to a Brethren Court in Shipwreck Island to address Lord Beckett’s assault on piracy. Jack was eternally imprisoned aboard the Black Pearl in Davy Jones’ Locker, and he possessed one of the nine “pieces of eight” that each pirate lord carried. Elizabeth Swann then joined Will Turner, Captain Barbossa, Tia Dalma, and Sparrow’s crew on a mission to recue their captain.
